A man was brought to hospital after being stabbed.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has confirmed that a man was hospitalised yesterday evening after suffering stab wounds.
The incident occurred at a residence at Knockbrack Downs, Drogheda, Louth.
The man, whose injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and was detained at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He was later charged and will appear before Drogheda District Court on Friday morning (10 January).
Gardaí say that the scene is currently preserved pending a full technical examination.
