Gardaí are investigating the tragic death of a man aged in his 50s at a Cork GP clinic. Gardaí in Mallow were alerted to a firearms incident that occurred at a business premises on Gouldshill in Mallow on Tuesday, 7 September. The man aged in his early 50s was fatally injured and his body has been removed to the mortuary in Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will be conducted. A file will be prepared for the Coroners Court over the coming days. Gardaí have confirmed that due to the tragic nature of the incident no further details will be made available.
