Gardaí launch investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Dublin

The incident occurred this morning.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man in his mid-40s was stabbed to death. The incident occurred at 4am on Friday, 19 July at Clinch’s Court, North Strand, Dublin 1.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident and the man was seriously injured when they arrived. The man was moved to the Mater Hospital where he later passed away.

A second man (also mid-40s) was also injured and moved to St. James Hospital. He is currently being treated for his injuries.

The scene is currently preserved and the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí are appealing to any persons who may have been in the area between 3.30a.m. and 4.15a.m. or any passing taxis with dash cam footage to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01.6668600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
