Gardaí looking for man after woman seriously assaulted on Sandycove seafront

Gardaí are looking for a man.

Gardaí in Dun Laoghaire are investigating an incident in which a woman was seriously assaulted along the Sandycover seafront in Dublin. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Monday 25 May.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána has specified that they are particularly interested in speaking to a person matching the description of: a lone white male, of average build, approximately 5’7”, with dark hair, who was wearing a hoodie, reported to be in the area at the time.

Additionally, Gardaí are seeking any walkers/runners, taxi drivers, delivery drivers or any persons who were in the Sandycove area, particularly along the seafront walkway area between 12am – 1:30am on 25 May 2020, and may have information or relevant dash-cam footage.
