Do you ever text and drive?
According to their Twitter page, the Gardaí have launched ‘Operation Mobile Phone’ to be carried out today in parts of the country in order to crackdown on those who can’t peel their eyes off their phone in order to focus on the road.
The checks started yesterday, with Gardaí from Mayorstone, Co. Limerick reporting that between 12pm and 9pm they stopped no less than 30 drivers who were using their phones while driving – resulting in Fixed Charge Notices.

If you want to be safe on the road and avoid any runs-in with the Gardaí, stay off your phone while driving.
