Gardaí unveil new all-terrain frontline patrol vehicles for border counties
The vehicles will help maintain high visibility and keep communities safe, Gardaí have said.
Gardaí have unveiled the first nine of 16 new all-terrain frontline patrol vehicles that have been allocated to border counties.
The vehicles have been allocated to the following nine Garda stations:
- Carrick on Shannon
Assistant Commission of the North-Western Region Barry O'Brien welcomed the allocation of the additional frontline terrain appropriate vehicles.
In a statement, he said the new vehicles would "enhance our operational capacity in maintaining high visibility and keeping people and communities safe."
