An online Recovery Certificate portal has been launched to allow members of the public request a certificate of recovery from Covid-19.

This is in addition to a freephone service for the Digital Covid Certificate.

The public can now fill out an online form to request a certificate of recovery rather than phoning the helpline.

You can request a Recovery Certificate if you’ve had a positive RT-PCR test more than 11 days ago and less than six months (180 days) ago.

The certificate proves that you’ve had Covid-19 in the last six months (180 days) and is considered another form of the EU Digital Covid Certificate.

The Department of Health encouraged anyone with questions regarding the vaccination certificate to call the Digital Covid Certificate helpline on 1800 807 008 (or +353 76 888 5513 when calling from abroad).

News broke earlier this week that less than one in 10 calls to Ireland’s EU Digital Covid Certificate helpline have been successfully resolved.

According to Assistant General Secretary at the Department of the Taoiseach, Liz Canavan, only 7% of the calls made to the helpline on Monday and Tuesday were successfuly processed.

Speaking at the Oireachtas Health Committee on Wednesday morning, Canavan told the committee that just 2,826 calls had been resolved of the 34,000 calls made on Tuesday and 6,000 made the day before.
