The American company Ipswitch is setting up a new office in Galway.

Following on from the announcement of 200 new positions to be created in Facebook in Dublin, there is more good news on the jobs front in Ireland.

The US company Ipswitch,  which specialises in security software and IT Monitoring, will create 60 jobs over the next five years in its new Galway base.

According to RTÉ, the setup in the business’s Galway centre will play a key role in Europe, Middle East and Africa support.

Martin Shanahan, the CEO of IDA Ireland, who are backing this venture, has been commenting on the company’s move to Galway:

“The large talent pool available to companies, along with the education and digital infrastructure, competitive and business-friendly environment and rich cultural heritage and amenity offerings are proving a strong attractor for global companies such as Ipswitch.”
