Bye bye, roaming charges.

If you’ve ever been stung by switching on your Data Roaming while on holiday in Europe, quickly checking the football scores before finding out you’ve somehow spent €10, we’ve got some good news for you.

Vodafone have confirmed. that, from 15 June 2017, you can use your pl1an’s full allowance of calls, texts and data while roaming in Europe at no extra cost.

They have released the list of countries you will be able to roam freely within, technologically speaking.

Those countries are…

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland.

Roaming will also be free in certain other territories such as the Canary Islands, the Channel Islands and Madeira.

Vodafone have also announced that it’s also free to receive calls and texts from home when you are travelling in Europe, while out-of-bundle calls, texts or data usage will be charged as per your home out-of-bundle rates.
