Have you seen the size of the gigantic Supermac’s ad that’s taken over Times Square?

"Come for the scenery, stay for the food."

Eoghan Doherty

“Come for the scenery, stay for the food.”

It looks like Conor McGregor was right when he said “we’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over.” We’re not sure that this gigantic picture of a succulent Supermac’s Snack Box is exactly what he had in mind though.

Hats off to the fine people at Supermac’s – undoubtedly one of this nation’s greatest institutions – who have taken over one of New York city’s illustrious Times Square billboards in spectacular fashion.

The awesome ad, brightly lit in the distinctive Supermac’s red and white, invites locals and tourists alike to “come for the scenery” and “stay for the food”, while cleverly pointing out that the nearest Supermac’s restaurant is a mere “2,963 miles” away.

Mmmmmm, we can almost smell it from here…

To be honest though, all this ad is going to end up doing is convincing all of the Irish emigrants in New York to return home immediately, just so they can get their hands on a Snack Box of their own. In the meantime though, expect this street corner to be hit with major traffic delays over the coming days, as gazillions of drooling Irishmen and women flock from far and wide to pay homage to the Snack Box above…
