Heavy downpours across the country have caused major transport disruption

DART services in Dublin are returning to normal on Saturday afternoon, following severe delays due to the heavy rain. The downpours started in the city on Saturday morning after a number of hot, sunny days, causing services on the line between Bray and Dún Laoghaire to be cancelled.
