Heavy rain and unsettled weather is set to batter Dublin as Storm Dave brews in the Atlantic.
That is according to Met Éireann, which has warned that wet conditions are expected across the capital today, tonight and into tomorrow.
This comes as fears grow that Storm Dave could bring strong winds and rainfall to the country in the coming days.
It is being forecast that stormy conditions could be seen across the city later in the week, however there is a chance that Ireland could be safe from the storm despite a week of unsettled weather.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather said there is a lot of 'uncertainty' around Thursday into Friday.
In its national forecast, Met Éireann said that showers, alongside thunder and hail, can be expected on Wednesday, with heavy rain and wind possibly spreading eastward on Thursday.
While the rain may clear in the east on Friday, it will become colder with fresh, gusty west to northwest winds.
Moving into the weekend, unsettled weather will remain with further spells of rain and showers.
O'Reilly added that while it's looking unsettled for the next 10 days, we could be free from the dull days come March 6.
Fingers crossed!
