Here’s how many Irish men don’t wash their hands after peeing

Carl Kinsella

SPOILER ALERT: It’s too many.

Come on lads, it’s 2016. By now, there are certain societal rules we should really all be abiding by. Don’t walk slowly on busy streets, always wear your seatbelt and, for the love of God, wash your hands.

According to a study done by hygiene company Initial, only 38% of Irish men are taking the time to wash their hands after they use the restroom – a problem which is facilitating the spread of germs and viruses.

Women perform slightly better on this test, with 60% of them washing their hands – which is better, but still not exactly a great turnout.

According to The Sun, Dr. Colm Moore has criticised this lackadaisical attitude towards hygiene, saying ““Good hand-washing is vital. By simply washing their hands properly, children and adults can reduce the bacteria on their hands by up to 80 per cent.”
