With the Pope's visit set to dominate the proceedings this weekend, plenty of Irish people will be out and about as His Holiness visits Knock and the Phoenix Park.
With this in mind, here's what's expected on the weather front, according to Met Éireann.
Friday morning is set to be cool and blustery with scattered showers. The showers will become fairly widespread during the afternoon, with the risk of a thunderstorm across the northern half of the country. Scattered showers are expected across parts of Ulster and Connacht overnight but it will be mostly dry elsewhere .
Thankfully, these showers are expected to become more isolated towards the evening with good sunshine developing in many areas.
As for Saturday, it's set set to be dry in most areas with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. There will be a few showers but they'll largely be confined to Ulster and north Connacht. A few odd showers will drift into north Leinster by the afternoon and the evening.
Saturday night will see a band of rain sweeping in from the Atlantic that will bring a spell of rain to all areas.
Sunday will have a wet start for most of the country with outbreaks of rain. However, these conditions are expected to clear by the afternoon, with the last of the rain clearing from the east coast. Bright spells and scattered blustery showers will follow as the rain eases with the best of any sunshine expected in eastern counties during the evening.
Sunday evening should see clear spells and scattered showers - most frequent in Ulster and Connacht.
