Don’t get caught out.
The Gardai have issued a warning to third-level students to be aware of rental accommodation scams at a time of year when students are either returning to college or going there for the first time.
Thousands of students will have been seeking accommodation for the term ahead in towns and cities across the country in recent weeks and Gardai have warned them to be on the lookout for scams, offering a number of tips to ensure they don’t get caught out.
The guidelines, which you can read in full

Demand can be quite high and some accommodation-seekers are likely to become increasingly desperate the closer it gets to the start of term and there will be sharks out there looking to capitalise.
