An important bit of news for Heuston rail passengers.

Those intending to travel to or from Dublin’s Heuston Station this evening have been advised to find alternative methods of transport by Irish Rail.

Significant delays have impeded the travel of trains into or out of the station, and this is expected to continue for the next hour or so, according to an Irish Rail spokesperson.

A limited commuter train will operate between Heuston and Hazelhatch stations for the time being.

Irish Rail have also confirmed that the delay has been caused by a fatality near the Sallins Station in Kildare.
