The Home Alone star passed away on Friday.
According to TMZ, John Heard who played Macaulay Culkin’s father in the popular Christmas movie, Home Alone, passed away on Friday 21 July.
The actor was found dead in a hotel where he was staying following minor back surgery. Police were called to the hotel but the actor was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was 72-years-old.
He also had roles in Big, Beaches, Gladiator and Pelican Brief and also had television roles on Miami Vice and The Sopranos.
He is most famous for playing Peter McCallister in the Christmas classic. Home Alone went on to become one of the biggest movies of 1990 and Heard reprised the role in the sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
