The Slieve Russell Hotel in Cavan has announced that it is to temporarily close on Tuesday evening due to an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.
In a release, the hotel's management said that the outbreak of the 'Norovirus' in recent weeks is causing it to take the measure in a proactive and precautionary way.
It says it is closing to maintain the safety of its staff and its patrons, and will reopen as soon as possible.
