From tiny rooms to homes in need of serious work, some recent property listings have shown just how bleak the housing market has become.
It's not just the eye-watering prices that leave people stunned, but what those prices actually get you.
With demand for homes across Dublin, and beyond, continuing to outstrip supply, renters and buyers are often left with little choice but to consider properties that would have seemed unthinkable just a few years ago.
Here are three listings that perfectly sum up the current state of the market. (Brace yourself.)
What we love about this place is how the bedroom, kitchen AND living area are all the one space for the gorgeous price tag of €1,200...
This small granny flat in Dublin 11 has highlighted the reality facing people searching for accommodation in the capital.
The listing boasts a side entrance, nearby bus routes and local amenities, but the monthly rent has raised eyebrows given the size of the accommodation.
To top it all off, the ESB bill isn't included and tenants are expected to hand over a one-month deposit before moving in.
Most renters have had to survive a house share at some point. Some lead to lifelong friendships, others become stories you tell your therapist.
This Dublin 1 listing takes things to another level.
The two-bedroom apartment is advertised with each bedroom sleeping three people, meaning up to six people could be sharing the property.
At €550 per bed in this glorified hostel, plus a one-month deposit, it's another example of just how much people are expected to compromise in the current rental market.
Another listing that caught people's attention is this three-bedroom mid-terrace house in The Faythe, Wexford, which has an asking price of €120,000.
The estate agent describes it as a property with "strong potential" in a prime location close to Wexford town centre.
The photos, however, paint a very different picture.
The house has been completely stripped out, with bare rooms throughout that would require extensive renovation (and a deep, deep clean) before anyone could realistically move in.
It's certainly a project for someone with plenty of time, money and patience.
For those looking for permanent accomodation...stay strong.
