Nice to see ‘clover’ get some love.

St Patrick’s Day is an occasion when people all over the world like to feel a little bit more Irish.

Granted, we’re more than happy to share our country, hospitality, and friendship with every single visitor, but there are some things that people really should keep to themselves, like their Internet browsing history.

If you want proof of this, as they frequently do, Pornhub have seen a huge spike in searches for particular Irish terms on St. Patrick’s Day, 2019.

According to Pornhub insights, searches for “leprechaun” on March 17, a few years back, increased by a startling 1,238% and, before you ask, although leprechauns don’t exist, leprechaun porn does exist on Pornhub. Yep, that piece of information will haunt our dreams too.

Searches for “st patricks day” saw an increase of 1048%, meanwhile, “shamrock” saw an increase of 811%, followed by “Irish” at 429%.

Pornhub’s statisticians found that while overall traffic didn’t change, the average time spent per visit increased by around 5%, indicating that people may be taking a bit more time on the site.

Many of the top search increases were related to Ireland, with a 383% increased interest in “Irish anal”, 382% for “Irish cougar”, 336% for “st patrick” and 328% for “clover”.

The search term “Irish”saw a 429% increase on St. Patrick’s Day too.

Pornhub also have a feature on St. Patrick’s Day where they show the particular increase in misspelled terms on March 17, mainly due to alcohol consumption.
