Bailey has been released on bail pending a court hearing next week.
Ian Bailey has been arrested and subsequently released on bail after the High Court endorsed a French European Arrest Warrant, with France seeking to have him extradited and tried for the voluntary homicide of Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Schull, West Cork in 1996.
According to RTÉ, Justice Tony Hunt will hear submissions next Friday relating to the application by the French authorities.
The 60-year-old Bailey has always denied any involvement in the murder of the French woman in a laneway in Schull on 23 December 1996.
Bailey was twice arrested for questioning in relation to Ms. Toscan du Plantier’s death in 1997 and 1998, but released without charge on both occasions.
The Supreme Court rejected a previous attempt to have him extradited to France in 2012.
Earlier this week, Bailey was interviewed by Olaf Tyaransen of Hot Press, and he spoke about the latest attempt by the French authorities to extradite him.
