The popular burger joint has been hailed as "a true bargain", which serves up "comfort food at its absolute best"
The iconic Irish restaurant chain Bunsen has become a true Irish staple.
Bunsen opened its first restaurant back in 2013, and now it's one of the best burger restaurants in Europe.
Global travel site Big 7 Travel has revealed its yearly list of The 50 Best Burgers in Europe for 2025, with Bunsen securing an impressive third place.
Big 7 Travel compiles its list drawing on data from its social audiences, as well as recommendations from its editorial team.
Bunsen is widely known for their minimalistic menu consisting of just burgers and chips.
Their menu includes a hamburger, cheeseburger, or a double of either, so if you're looking to add fancy trimmings, you're out of luck.
There are no fancy extras besides mustard, mayo, ketchup, tomato, pickle, lettuce and onion.
Big Travel 7 praised Bunsen as "an iconic burger joint," adding: "Bunsen Burgers has just two burgers on its menu: hamburgers and cheeseburgers.
"Nothing fancy, nothing over-the-top, just comfort food at its absolute best. Their toppings are all completely free, and they prove that the simple things in life are the best.
"Another advantage is that a hamburger is under €10, and a portion of their hand-cut fries is under €5.
"A true bargain as far as city centre prices go, and a delicious, memorable burger in one of Ireland’s best burger restaurants."
Securing second place on Big 7 Travel's list is Tommi’s Burger Joint in Iceland, which they claim "has been slinging out some of Reykjavik’s best burgers for over 40 years."
Taking home first place is Black Bear Burger in London, who are praised for their award-winning Double Bacon Miso Burger, which is hailed as "a thing of decadence, beauty and sheer deliciousness".
Cousins Tom and Finn Gleeson, born and bred in Dublin opened their first Bunsen restaurant in Wexford Street in Dublin city centre in 2013 and still work together to this day.
