Fitness influencer Stephanie Buttermore has died at 36, her fiancée, bodybuilder Jeff Nippard has announced.
The news of Buttermore’s death was posted in a statement that was shared to Instagram on Friday, by Nippard’s team.
So far, no information on her cause of death has been revealed.
The post read: “It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Jeff’s fiancée and partner of ten years, Stephanie. As many of you know, Stephanie meant the world to Jeff.”
“She will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, her love for her family, and her PhD research on ovarian cancer”, the post continued, honouring Buttermore's legacy.
Just days earlier, on 25 February, the influencer celebrated her birthday.
Nippard posted a photo with her on his Instagram less than two weeks before her birthday.
“Relationshipmaxxing with tea time to lower cortisol levels ❤️,” he captioned the post, in which the couple is seen smiling together in honor of Valentine’s Day.
In May 2024, Buttermore announced how she decided to take a step back from her role as influencer, for her mental health.
She explained that her anxiety had become “crippling,” but after taking a break from social media, her mental health became “the best it’s ever been.”
She created created content for women and their health journeys, consistently promoting body positivity and intuitive eating.
According to her YouTube channel, she was a cancer research scientist who earned a Ph.D. in pathology and cell biology “with a focus on the molecular mechanisms that drive ovarian cancer progression.”
