The truth is out there… we guess.

The Irish Aviation Authority has launched an investigation after an unidentified flying object (UFO) was seen by a number of aircraft off the coast of Ireland last Friday morning.

On Friday morning just before 7am, a British Airways pilot contacted Shannon Air Traffic Control to ask if there were any military exercises taking place in their airspace.

Shannon ATC replied: “There is nothing showing on either primary or secondary radar.”

The BA pilot explained that something moving very fast came alongside them, before speeding off rapidly to the north.

A Virgin Airlines Boeing 747 pilot who also reported seeing it made reference to a meteor or object re-entering the earth’s atmosphere and said there were “multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory”. He added that they climbed away at speed and they were very bright.

Speaking to JOE, the Irish Aviation Authority confirmed that they’re investigating the incident.

“Following reports from a small number of aircraft on Friday 9 November of unusual air activity, the IAA has filed a report,” a spokesperson said.

“This report will be investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process.”
