A trip to Switzerland is out of the question.
Praying for payday to arrive is like a monthly ritual for Irish people these days.
As much as we like pasta, a week of gobbling the stuff can get pretty horrible despite this gentleman’s best efforts to keep it exciting.
All jokes aside, it’s pretty expensive to live here and we’ve come just outside the top 10 in a list of the most expensive countries in the world to live in.
The website movehub.com, which is handy resource for people living abroad, took into account the cost of groceries, transport, restaurants and utilities when putting the list together.
The top 10 most expensive countries to live in are:
1. Switzerland
2. Norway
3. Venezuela
4. Iceland
5. Denmark
6. Australia
7. New Zealand
8. Singapore
9. Kuwait
10. UK
11. Ireland
We reckon Swiss and Norwegians love going on foreign holidays, money to burn.
The survey also showed the other end of the scale by listing the 10 least expensive countries in the world to live in.
1. India
2. Nepal
3. Pakistan
4. Tunisia
5. Algeria
6. Moldova
7. Egypt
8. Macedonia
9. Syria
10. Colombia
The survey didn’t take into account the quality of living when putting that list together.
