‘Rain and showers’ – Another turn in Irish weather expected this weekend

Rain, rain, go away.

According to the Irish meteorological service, Wednesday and Thursday will be "largely dry", with the chance of just a few showers.

This is before conditions turn "breezy for Friday and the weekend with rain and showers pushing in from the Atlantic at times".

Here's the weather Met Éireann are currently predicting for each day of the weekend:

Friday

It looks set to be mild and breezy on Friday, with scattered falls of rain and drizzle. Rainfall amounts will be small and some parts of the east and northeast may hold dry.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees are forecasted in fresh and gusty southerly winds.

It is expected to be wet and windy on Friday night with outbreaks of rain and strong and gusty southerly winds as lowest temperatures range from 11 to 14 degrees.

Saturday

Humid and breezy conditions for Saturday are forecasted, with showery outbreaks of rain spreading north over the country on a strong and gusty southerly breeze.

There will also be some dry and sunny intervals as maximum temperatures range from 16 to 19 degrees.

A mix of clear spells and showers are expected on Saturday night. This is as it turns a little cooler with overnight lows of 10 to 13 degrees.

Sunday

It is expected to be a bright and breezy day on Sunday with a mix of sunshine and showers.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees are predicted in fresh and gusty southwest winds.
