However, conditions are expected to take a turn next week.

Ireland’s current spell of sunny weather looks set to continue this weekend, with Met Éireann forecasting daytime temperatures “well above the March average” for the next few days.

That said, the meteorological service’s current indications do suggest conditions will turn colder next week.

Before then, Met Éireann’s forecast for Friday says that while the day will start quite cloudy in some parts, it will become sunnier as it progresses.

There is set to be largely dry weather though the odd shower may break out, mainly in parts of Leinster and Ulster, as temperatures generally of 14 to 18 degrees are expected.

Meanwhile, it is believed Saturday will be a dry day with sunny spells and a light breeze.

Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees are being forecasted with conditions set to be coolest near southern and eastern coasts.

Sunday then will be similarly dry with sunny spells and light to variable winds with temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees expected.

For Monday, a mix of sunny spells and well-scattered showers are forecasted and temperatures are set to fall slightly to 10 to 15 degrees, with conditions warmest in the west.

Met Éireann’s current indications for the days following Monday suggest the weather will “turn colder towards mid-week with the increased possibility of showers and chance of some frost by night”.
