A well-known Irish celebrity has been sent for trial for the defilement of a child under 17. The man, who is aged in his 30s, cannot be named due to legal reasons.
A book of evidence was served on him at Dublin District Court this week. He was remanded on bail.
Last month, the celebrity appeared in court after he was arrested and charged following an investigation by a garda protective services unit.
He has been charged with offences that are alleged to have taken place in Dublin between 12 and 13 years ago with a child under the age of 17, The Independent reports.
The entertainer was served with the prosecution's book of evidence in court this week.
The celebrity has surrendered his passport to Gardaí. He has to give them his number, as well as any change of address.
The man also cannot contact witnesses or the complainant. His case will be listed for mention on April 20th, according to reports.
