An Irish pub in the US is seeking help from the public after its custom-made Irish flag was stolen by vandals.

Delaney's Irish Pub in Spartanburg, South Carolina issued a plea on social media following the incident where two people broke a flagpole as well as stealing the prized flag.

The pub's owners say that the act disrespected "the cultural heritage we proudly celebrate".

The social media post shows CCTV images of the individuals in question and requests the public to contact the police department or reach out to the pub owners directly.
