Irish Rail warn passengers several services will be disrupted over Easter weekend

Keep an eye out if you have anything planned for the Easter weekend.

Irish Rail is warning customers to prepare for affected services over the Easter weekend due to a series of major works scheduled between 30 March and 2 April.

The works will impact several locations nationwide, including all Heuston routes, the Northside DART, Drogheda and Belfast services.

Routes affected between Friday 30 March and Monday 2 April are as follows:

Dublin Heuston to Waterford

Waterford services will operate as bus transfers between Heuston and Waterford while serving all intermediate stations.

Dublin Heuston to Newbridge

Bus transfers will operate between Heuston and Newbridge, which will in turn affect services to Cork, Limerick and Kerry.

Train services will operate between Newbridge and Mallow for Tralee connections. Meanwhile, Mallow to Tralee services will operate on a revised schedule.

Train services will also be in operation between Newbridge and Limerick, with Limerick to Limerick Junction services operating on a revised schedule.

On Sunday 1 April, all direct services will be cancelled, but customers can use Cork services with a change at Limerick Junction.

Dublin Heuston to Galway and Westport

Bus transfers will operate between Heuston and Kildare, with train services operating between Kildare and Galway/Westport.

Additionally, Galway and Westport services will call at Monasterevin.

Dublin Heuston to Hazlehatch

Heuston Commuter services will operate on an hourly service between Heuston and Hazelhatch, with only the Grand Canal Dock services cancelled.

Between Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April, the following are affected:

Northside DART services

The DART service will not be in operation between Howth/Malahide and Dublin Connolly.

Only between Connolly and Bray/Greystones will DART services be in operation.

Dublin Bus will accept valid rail tickets for northside DART travel.

Belfast Enterprise services

Belfast Enterprise services will operate as a bus transfer between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda, while there is a train service between Drogheda and Belfast.

Northern Commuter services

The Northern Commuter services will be operating on a limited schedule between Drogheda and Skerries. A bus transfer will be available between Dublin Connolly and Skerries.

The routes will resume normal service on Monday 2 April.
