
Several counties hit with weather warning for heavy rain and possible flooding

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for five counties.
Published on Tuesday morning (25 October), the alert applies to Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
It is set to be valid from 4pm to 11.30pm on Tuesday.
"Heavy rain at times this evening and early tonight with spot flooding possible," it reads.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann's national outlook for the week says conditions will be rather mild but will become quite wet at times, particularly on southern and western fringes.
In terms of the weekend, the forecaster says that Saturday will start mostly dry.
This is before outbreaks of rain in southern and western areas throughout the day that could turn heavy in the south.
Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 16 degrees in moderate southerly winds.
As for Sunday, Met Éireann states: "Wet and windy weather in store for the remainder of the weekend."
