Tragic news.
An Irishman who had been missing in Calfornia for over a week has been found dead.
28-year-old Gary Reilly from Meath had been last seen on 3 May boarding a bus from Bakersfield to Los Angeles.
Reports from friends of Mr Reilly said he was “ejected” from the bus during the journey.
His friends and Irish community groups in the US had been sharing information online in the hope that someone had details on his whereabouts.
However, an LA coroner report states that Mr Reilly died on 5 May.
The circumstances of his death are unknown at this point.
Mr Reilly was 6ft 2in tall and was said to be travelling light and carrying a backpack.
Tributes have begun to pour in for him, with one friend writing: “Rest easy Gary Reilly gone way too soon.
“Thinking of your family and friends at this sad time.”
