"Nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it's not true," the reporter said after.
US President Joe Biden was caught on a live microphone calling a Fox News reporter "a stupid son of a b****" on Monday (24 January).
As a photo op held in the White House was winding down and journalists were leaving the room, Fox News' Peter Doocy asked Biden: "Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?"
Perhaps unaware his microphone was still on, the President could be heard replying dryly: "It's a great asset, more inflation," before adding: "What a stupid son of a b****."

The reporter in question didn't appear to be too offended by Biden's remarks, later joking to Fox News: "Nobody has fact-checked him yet and said it's not true."
When asked by Fox News' Jesse Watters if he would be embracing his new moniker, Doocy responded: "Do I have a choice?"
The reporter also said that within an hour of the exchange, Biden called him to say: "It's nothing personal, pal."
Also, noteworthy about the President's remark was that it was later included in a transcript of the event, meaning it is part of the official historical record.
