Labour Senator Lorraine Higgins has ruffled a few feathers tonight with this tweet about her rival in the European Midland-North West constituency, Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan.

It is true that Dustin didn’t have the best time in Eurovision but most Irish acts have struggled in recent years and as we all remember, he probably would have been elected President of Ireland a few years back, if he had been on the ballot of course.
