Ireland to be ‘very warm’ next week, here are the days temps will reach 28C

'Warm or very warm weather' will develop widely over the next few days.

Met Éireann's latest forecast overview states "warm or very warm weather" will develop widely over the next few days as continental air moves in across the country.

"Dry at first with some showery rain occurring midweek," it adds.

Monday, 10 August

Monday will be dry with a mix of cloud and sunshine, warmest across Munster and Leinster.

Top temperatures of 17 to 24 degrees in just light westerly breezes.

Tuesday, 11 August

Tuesday will be warmer with long spells of summer sunshine.

Top temperatures of 22 to 26 degrees in just light southeast breezes.

Wednesday, 12 August

Wednesday will be very warm and humid in a light to moderate southerly breeze.

A mix of cloud and sunshine will occur through the day with some showery outbreaks of rain gradually moving in from the Atlantic.

Some east and southeast areas will stay fully dry, though. Top temperatures of 22 to 28 degrees, warmest for Leinster.

Thursday and Friday, 13-14 August

It will still be rather warm for southern and eastern areas during Thursday and Friday, while turning fresher elsewhere.

A fair amount of dry weather is expected with just isolated showers.

Carlow Weather's forecast also aligns with Met Éireann's.

In a post on Saturday morning (Saturday, 8 August), the weather expert said: "Models showing up to 28c Wednesday and Thursday as we see some warmer air move up once again."
