The golfing world is today mourning the loss of Christy O’Connor senior. A legendary Irish golfer, O’Connor played in ten consecutive Ryder Cups, 15 world cups, and came close to winning a Major when he came second at the 1965 British Open. The popular former Irish professional was inducted into the prestigious World Golf Hall of Game in 2009.
