The incident took place on Friday night.
A man has died following a light aircraft crash that took place at Rathcash in County Kilkenny on Friday night (28 June).
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene having been alerted to the incident at approximately 9.30pm.
One man, aged in his fifties, was fatally injured in the crash.
His body was later removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Waterford, with a post mortem examination due to be carried out.
Nobody else was travelling in the aircraft.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit attended the scene and the Irish Aviation Authority has been notified.
