Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald’s sister has officially responded to claims about the Love Island contestant’s dating history.
This comes after a large number of young women have taken to social media claiming to be the Galway GAA star’s ex partner after he entered the villa.
However, Katie Fitzgerald, sister of 25-year-old Fitzy, told local radio that the girls coming forward only went on “one or two” dates with him.
“The girls that are coming out are not his exes, they are not his actual ex-girlfriends,” Katie confirmed.
“One or two that I have seen, he went on one or two dates with them and that was it.”
Fitzgerald has been a huge hit on this year’s Love Island with both contestants and viewers, and has been referred to as a “green flag”
The Irish contestant immediately hit it off with police detective Lola Deal during the show’s premiere episode, and the two have been together since. They are now officially “locked off” with the GAA player saying that he doesn’t see anyone else turning his head.
Fitzy confessed that he's both surprised and not surprised at the pair becoming exclusive, adding that "when you just know, you know."
Speaking to iRadio, Katie confirmed that she has already given Lola her official stamp of approval.
“I really like her, I feel like so far she’s coming across quite shy, but hopefully in the next couple of episodes she will kind of come out of her comfort zone and stuff, but I think she might calm Sean down a bit sometimes because he’s a bit mad,” she added.
