Luas services disrupted after man struck by Luas on Red Line
The man was seriously injured in the incident.
A man has been seriously injured after being struck by a Luas on Monday evening (27 September).
Gardaí attended the scene of the incident, which happened at Suir Road in Dublin 8 shortly before midnight.
The man was taken to St James’ Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
In a statement to JOE, Gardaí said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
As a result of the incident, there are no Luas Red Line services operating between Blackhorse and The Point this morning.
The Luas said on Twitter it will be operating a Red Line service between Blackhorse and Tallaght/Saggart.
Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.
