Madeleine McCann search

Police searching a reservoir for missing girl Madeleine McCann uncovered a ‘relevant clue’.

Police ended their search on May 25th after searching the reservoir for three days.

They removed multiple items from the reservoir before ending their search.

The samples will be tested for DNA at a lab in Germany. However, it could take months for results.

According to reports, officers may have results by next week, but they fear the final results could take months.

A Portuguese newspaper confirmed that officers removed multiple items including fragments of clothing and plastic.

Officers were searching for Madeleine McCann’s pajamas during the three-day search. Madeleine was wearing Disney pajamas when she went missing in May 2007.

They were also searching for a gun and a camcorder. The items were reportedly stolen from suspect Christian Brueckner’s home.

The search of the reservoir began when police received multiple “tip-offs”.

Officers believe suspect Christian Brueckner visited the location days after Madeleine went missing.

He reportedly referred to the area as his “little paradise”.

Officers have never charged Christian Brueckner with her disappearance or murder but stressed that he is under investigation.

Brueckner, a convicted sex offender, is currently in prison in Germany after committing rape in 2005.
