A Malaysia Airlines flight had a close call this evening when its landing gear malfunctioned during take-off.
Flight MH192 left KL earlier this afternoon bound for Bangalore but was forced back when its right landing gear broke down as the plane became airborne.
Forced to fly in a holding pattern to burn fuel, the company’s Twitter account announced that the plane landed safely just before 7pm Irish time.
[#MASalert] Malaysia Airlines flight MH192 that made an air turn back towards KLIA has landed safely at 1:56am. Alhamdulillah.

Malaysia Airlines said that the Boeing 737 aircraft was carrying 159 passengers and seven crew.
The news comes as the search for wreckage from the missing flight MH370 continues. The plane disappeared from radars on March 8th and has not been heard from since.
