Man in his 20s dies after road crash in Meath

Very sad news.

A man in his 20s has died after a road crash in Meath on Tuesday (25 January).

Emergency services attended the scene of the fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred on the L5068 at Knockcommon in Slane after 10.30pm.

The man in his 20s was the driver of the vehicle and received treatment at the scene from paramedics but was later pronounced dead.

His body was then taken to the mortuary at Navan Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle and no other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward and any road users with video footage, including dash cam footage, are asked to make this available to them.
