A man in his 30s has died after being struck by a car while cycling in Kerry

Gardaí in Killarney are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Kerry.

Around 8am on Sunday morning, a man in his 30s was fatally injured when he was struck by a car while cycling on the Gap of Dunloe Road near Beaufort.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.

Garda forensic collision investigators and scenes of crime officers are examining the crash site and the  road is closed with local diversions are in place.
