Man in his 20s in critical condition following assault at public transport stop in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

A man remains in a critical condition following a serious assault in Dublin on Sunday (7 August).

Shortly before 9pm, the man was attacked at a public transport stop in George’s Dock in Dublin 1.

The man, aged in his 20s, received serious head injuries during the assault, and was taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital.

A technical examination of the scene took place on Monday morning (8 August).

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Anyone who was in the Georges Dock/Irish Financial Services Centre (IFSC) and surrounding areas between 7pm and 9.30pm on the evening of Sunday is being asked to reach out to Gardaí.
