He is due to appear before Tallaght District Court on Tuesday morning.
The man in his 30s arrested in relation to the fatal assault of a man in his 60s in Dublin on Sunday has been charged.
The fatal assault occurred at a domestic dwelling in Carriglea View in Firhouse, Dublin 24 at around 11.50pm.
Emergency services attended the scene but the man in his 60s was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested and taken to Tallaght Garda Station.
On Monday, Gardaí said they were appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the Carriglea View area on Sunday evening between 11.30pm and 12.30am.
