A man has died after slipping and falling into water at Dublin Port

It’s understood that the man was attempting to access the pier from a boat docked at the port when he fell.

A man has died in Dublin today after he fell into the water at Dublin Port early Friday morning.

Gardaí have confirmed that the man, who was in his 50s, slipped and fell into the water at Dublin Port at a time close to 4.40am this morning.

The man fell while he had been attempting to move from boat to port.

He was rushed to the Mater Hospital following the incident where he was later pronounced dead shortly after 6am.

Gardaí said that the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
