Man in his 60s dies following road crash in Cork

Tragic news.

A man has died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision on Tuesday (17 May).

The collision occurred at Drishanebeg, Skibbereen in Cork at approximately 1.30pm.

The driver of the vehicle, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries have been reported.

The man’s body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place.

Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene in order to conduct a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

Road users who were travelling through this area on Tuesday, who have camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
