Man dies following collision between tractor and two motorcycles in Tipperary

Very sad news from Tipperary.

Gardaí in Tipperary are investigating a road crash between a tractor and two motorcycles that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that a 25-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene. His body was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem will take place.

Another man (aged 33), who had also been driving a motorcycle, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.

According to Gardaí, the driver of the tractor was 21 years old, and was uninjured. Gardaí also noted that there was a trailer attached to the tractor at the time of the crash.

The incident occurred at approximately 5pm Saturday (18 July) on the N74 at Moatequarter, Kilfeacle, Tipperary.

Gardaí in Tipperary Town are now appealing for anyone with information in relation to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N74 between Tipperary Town and Cashel to make this footage available to Gardaí.
