Man dies after motorcycle collides with parked vehicle in Tipperary

Very sad news from Tipperary.

Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that resulted in the death of a man in his 30s.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene of an incident that occurred at approximately 7.40pm on Sunday (20 October) on the Ballinderry road, just outside Puckane, Tipperary.

According to An Garda Síochána, the man had been riding a motorcycle which then struck a parked vehicle.

There were no other injuries in the incident, and it is being regarded as a “fatal single vehicle road traffic collision.”

The man’s body has been removed to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will be carried out. He has not been publicly named, though Gardaí have confirmed that he was in his 30s.

As of Monday morning, the road in question remains closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators prepare to examine the scene.

Gardaí investigating the crash are appealing for any witnesses, especially motorists who were in the area and may have dash-cam footage, to come forward.
