Man in his 60s sustains head injury outside hospital in Tralee

The incident occurred last Sunday (7 November).

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in Tralee, Co. Kerry last Sunday (7 November).

At approximately 7pm man in his 60s sustained a head injury in the course of an incident outside the entrance to University Hospital Kerry with hospital personnel.

The man was treated in University Hospital Kerry, and has since been moved to Cork University Hospital. His condition is understood to be serious.

An investigation is ongoing, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly those who were near the entrance to A&E at University Hospital Kerry between 5pm and 8pm on Sunday 7 November. Anyone with camera footage from the area, including dash cam, are asked to come forward.
